Ghirardelli cookies

A few months ago a co-worker brought some cookies to work and they were so good I asked her for the recipe. She said she made them out of Ghirardelli brownie mix! What? A cookie, a brownie AND Ghirardelli chocolate?!? I had to try to make it myself.

You'll need a box of Ghirardelli Carmel Turtle brownie mix, 1/2 stick of softened butter, 1 egg and some pecan halves. (The recipe is on the back of the box).

Preheat oven to 350. Mix the ingredients together with the dry brownie mix with your mixer. There is a carmel packet in the box. Save it for later.

Spoon tablespoons of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

I used a wooden tip of a spatula to poke holes into the center of each cookie. Fill with the carmel from the packet from the brownie box.

Place a pecan half on top of the carmel spot.

Bake at 350 for 11-13 minutes.

Yum-yum... all done!
