Target, I love you

I have a slight obsession with Target, especially Target graphics. I've been disappointed with their store graphics as of lately. But today Target has taken my breath away with it's trad red, white and black graphics for Target Harlem.

OMG!!!

I remember my first trip to New York in 2007 and I walked alone to Times Square. I took the back alley way through the Broadway theaters and the sea of people parted and I saw this Target billboard.

I heard angels sing and my heart raced. But it looks minature compared to the new Target Harlem campaign in Times Square! (Well I guess you had to be there).

The same rush of excitement has come over me looking at the photos from the Target Harlem campaign. I can hear and smell New York now!

The arrival of Target's first Manhattan store will open on July 25 in Harlem on 116th Street and Pleasant Avenue.

Illustrator Bill Brown created whimsical illustrations capturing New York city neighborhood life and the Target shopping experience.

The work currently appears in Times Square and will be featured in print and outdoor, full subway train wraps and on New York tourist vehicles.

I just LOVE it ALL!!!

See more of the work here.

I was in Time Square a couple weeks ago, and they were actually taking down the signs above that Ann Taylor loft that weekend... how funny! I LOVE this new campaign too... so bright and fun. New Yorkers that have never been addicted to Target are now about to see what all the fuss is about ;)

Love the advertising, esp. the subway ones. I will tell you one thing…the store shelves will be BARE after everyone in the city bombards the new store!
