SHOP UPDATE

I just updated my Etsy shop with three new crafty aprons! It feels great to finally update my shop!

Check out this funny little apron I saw at the Urban Mining Homewares store today.

weekend projects

It snowed like CRAZY Saturday!

This is the view from my apartment window.

I thought Spring was here. I guess the early April Fool's joke is on us!

My husband is away in Miami this weekend (yeah, he's in sun & fun while I'm in a blizzard). So I moved my sewing table in front of the sofa and in front of the TV so I wouldn't have to make a decision between them.

I'm almost finished with three crafty aprons. My goal was to get them done today so I could photograph them and put them on Etsy. But I remembered that my husband had the camera. I took photos this weekend with my iPhone.

Well, it's good to be sewing again. Just like riding a bike!

P.S. I drove in the snow to drop off some pink grapefruit cupcake bath fizzies to Bon Bon.

more fizzies

Spring is finally here!

I dropped off a batch of oatmeal, milk & honey cupcake bath fizzies off to Bon Bon this weekend. I have a batch of pink grapefruit to package and that'll be it 'til the end of April. I must get the sweat shop open to get ready for RedLine AIDS fashion show.

updates

This weekend I dropped off some green tea cucumber cupcake bath fizzies to Bon Bon just in time for St. Patrick's day. Chocolate vanilla scent is still available.

Also a new book I ordered just came in from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). It's called "T-shirt Makeovers." I learned how to sew because I REALLY wanted to deconstruct t-shirts. I wanted to be quick with a sewing machine instead of stitching by hand. But somehow I fell into aprons and not my true love: t-shirts. I already have a couple of t-shirt books. It's been hard for me to decide on what style to try out first! But out of all of the t-shirt books I've seen the "T-shirt Makeover" book has some real original designs and lots of tips.

So after I complete my aprons for April 23rd's RedLine AIDS fashion show I'm going to do some t-shirt experiments!

BTW... my book came wrapped in pretty tissue paper and a lovely hand written note. Thank SCAD!

fabric purchase!

Saturday Dayle (sodapop) and I went to Lawrence to Sarah's Fabrics to get some new fabric. They have a TON!

I got some Heather Bailey to use to make my pieces for the upcoming RedLine AIDS fashion show I'm doing again this year.

And I some other fun fabric to work with. I haven't sewn since December so it was refreshing to go out and look at some inspiring things.

Now that spring is here I'm ready to dust of my machine and get to sewing!!!
