Saturday I walked into my local CVS and I ran into Sally Hansen's limited editon Valentine's collection.

Whitney Houston 1963-2012

It's shocking news around the world that Whitney Houston died yesterday, just hours before Clive Davis', the man who discovered Whitney, annual pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton where she died earlier yesterday afternoon.

Whitney was scheduled to perform at Davis' annual gala. It was to be her comeback with the August 2012 release of the movie 'Sparkle' starring Whitney and Jordan Sparks.

Tonight is the Grammys, and of course the whole show will been reworked to honor Whitney. It is rumored that Jennifer Hudson has been chosen to sing the Whitney Houston tribute.

I remember when Whitney made her acting debut on Silver Spoons playing Dexter's love interest and she sang "Saving All My Love For You."

I'm saddened over Whitney's death. I kept rooting for her recovery from drugs. Just Friday night I was singing "Greatest Love of All."

My favorite song of Whitney's was "It's Not Right But It's Okay."

It's my favorite Whitney song because it was one of my anthems as I was going through my divorce. Also I was in a dance troupe at the time and we did a routine to that song that won us awards!

I'll be tuning into the Grammys to watch the tribute to Whitney. What's your favorite Whitney memory?

Yesterday kicked off the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. In fashion runway fun my favorite gals, the GIOGO Girls, did a Nailway (a fingernail polish runway show), featuring Valentine stiletto nail designs.

Ohhh... the black heart nails are my favorite! Check out the cute Nailway show.

Last week M.I.A. dropped her 1st single, "Bad Girls" from her fourth album, due out this summer.

Currently M.I.A. is in the news for flipping the bird in Madonna's halftime Super Bowl performance this past Sunday. Honestly I didn't even notice.

I've been a big fan of M.I.A. since Kala, her second studio album released in August 2007.

But check out the crazy BMW car tricks in Morocco in the "Bad Girls" video!

“Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well,” M.I.A. chants. Well, she is TOTALLY a bad girl for hanging out of the window of a car ridding on it's two side wheels. And the Arab road skating is just wild!

102 - NOT CUTE too cute Tuesday

A couple of weeks ago I saw the new JCPenney logo. I thought it was another GAP logo redesign stunt until I saw the logo used in a commercial.

JCPenney changed their logo early last year.

But they decided to do another switch-a-roo.

Does the blue look familiar? It reminds me a lot of the GAP rebanding attempt fall of 2010.

Thankfully the GAP didn't go through with it according to an outpour of customers wanting the original GAP logo.

The new 2012 JCPenney logo is supposed too evoke the American flag. (Sure, if you say so).

The new commercials have been very "Target" looking. And I see what they are trying to do by drawing the customer into the store with the squares.

I'm just not feeling the logo. I guess there are no hard core JCPenney customers that are protesting their new look because it looks like it's here to stay. YIKES!

I haven't shopped at JCPenney's since I left my small town back in the late 90s. And the reason my family shopped there was because it was one of the ONLY department stores in our small town. I think I got my training bra at JCPenney's.
